Yoville had many design contest in the duration of the game. The first and second design contests were held in summer 2009 and summer 2010. Players were allowed to design whatever they wanted to enter. In the first contest, the top three designs were put into store but on the second, only one was put into store. However, afterwards design contest were mainly based around themes.
Big Viking Games first design contest took place from March 5th 2015 - April 1st 2015. Players could enter anything they wanted to enter. Originally, three people were only chosen to get designs in stores, but the limit was reached to five. The winners of the contest received there outfits a week before anyone else and were sold in the theme Fashion Week. One costume was sold each day, from Friday May 29th 2015 - June 2nd 2015. The winners of the contest are Kraze, Jumba, Pierre A, McFly, and Jan Hilton.
The fate of design contest is unknown, as lots of drama started and BVG said this could possibly be the first and last one.
